WORLDSKILLS 2009 AWARD

Joseph Berry our 2nd Year Refrigeration apprentice, has won 3rd place in the Western Australian Regional Finals here in Perth. This is an amazing result given that Joe has only just completed 12 months on the job training. SRA supports youth training and really looks forward to the chance to showcase our trade craft at an open event like world skills . The world Skills event is a real test of the actual day to day skills that refrigeration people need to know , and the skills that tradespeople like Joe use every day. Congratulations Joe, A very well deserved win !

SRA have always done very well in the world skills events , you may remember that Brendan completed in the regional and the national completion in Worlskills 2008 . The competition is a showcase of the apprentices abilities , usually this testing is broken down into catagories, Manufacturing, fault finding electrical, fault finding refrigeration, and a technical task like programming or design work .
