This is a very Brief history of our company, SRA is built on solid foundations of professional service and it is these foundations that enable us to expand and grow every year Scarborough Refrigeration commenced trading in 1983. Scarborough Refrigeration was started by Mr Rod Hewitt. Many clients remember Rods dedicated and personalised approach. In those early years Rod installed and serviced all types of refrigeration equipment from car air conditioners , house fridges thru to large process factory cool rooms. It was the hard work of Rod Hewitt that established the foundation for what is today one of Perth 's most well Know and respected Service Companies. Darren and Trish Dwyer purchased Scarborough refrigeration from Rod on the first of July 2000 , which coincided with the implementation of the GST. Darren and Trish had operated Doubleview Airconditioning for a number of years and Darren was good friends with Rod , having worked with Rod in 1986. Scarborough Refrigeration and Doubleview Airconditioning were amalgamated into Scarborough Refrigeration and Airconditioning Pty Ltd . With a strong emphasis on service and repair to the commercial industry. Darren Dwyer ( Director of SRA ) Hi, my name is Darren Dwyer and I first worked with Rod almost 17 years ago. It was after vocational work experience with Rod Hewitt that I chose a career in refrigeration and Airconditioning. I completed my apprenticeship with A J Baker & Sons doing commercial refrigeration and air conditioning. After my apprenticeship I travelled to Broome where I worked for Millar refrigeration for 6 years. Whilst in Broome I was asked to repair anything from ice machines to washing machines. I then returned to Perth and started Doubleview Airconditioning in 1996. Doubleview Airconditioning has been primarily a commercially based Airconditioning company. I subcontracted to most of the big players in Perth and have been involved in many large Perth projects. In an attempt to diversify I was looking at commercial refrigeration (my foundations) and Rod happened to want out when I wanted in.
